This role is based in Pasadena, CA.
Compensation:
$129,200 - $174,800/year
Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain standardized development environments for research scientists.
- Own dependency, build, and release management across research software projects.
- Develop and streamline CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and rapid deployment.
- Manage hybrid infrastructure spanning cloud services and on-prem physical hardware.
- Automate provisioning and configuration using infrastructure-as-code solutions.
- Implement best practices for observability and monitoring.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
- Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with scientists in a research environment.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps features in GitLab Ultimate.
- Experience with networking and network security fundamentals.
