Compensation:
$181,100 - $318,400/year
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operate large-scale distributed services that power Apple’s search and foundation model platforms.
- Own systems end-to-end: from architecture and design reviews to implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Foundation Model researchers to optimize for data quality, scale, and cost.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Scala.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high-throughput, low-latency services.
- Hands-on experience with inference and serving frameworks.
- Background in performance optimization for ML systems.
