Senior Engineering Manager - Instrument Engineering

This role is based in Munich, Germany.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cellular development engineers as the chief local representative of the Instrument Engineering team.
  • Staffing and managing a team of experts in RF applications engineering and cellular software stack applications engineering.
  • Craft solution strategies, guide engineers, plan schedules, assign team resources, and ensure customer success.
  • Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams and possess exceptional executive communication skills.
  • International and domestic travel up to 15% is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Extensive industry experience and demonstrable experience scaling & managing RF engineering teams.
  • Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent understanding of RF fundamentals, 3GPP cellular stack, DSP, and communications theory.
  • Strong experience with RF measurements for cellular technologies such as 4G LTE and 5G NR.
  • Bachelor’s degree is needed; Master’s or above is highly valued.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong experience writing object-oriented software.
  • Experience automating RF test equipment from vendors such as Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, National Instruments, etc.
  • Recent experience with data analysis of RF parameters.
