$181,100 - $318,400/year

What you'll do:

Define the economic architecture of Apple’s Data Platform, design data models, and implement cost-control measures.

Responsibilities:

  • Design & Build Financial Pipelines: Develop petabyte-scale data pipelines for usage telemetry.
  • Implement Governance Logic: Create code for financial governance and budget tracking.
  • Data Quality & Reliability: Ensure health and accuracy of financial datasets.
  • FinOps Tooling: Build APIs for cost metrics delivery.
  • System Optimization: Tune data processing jobs for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaboration: Work with Data Scientists and Platform Engineers to integrate economic models.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in Data Engineering or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Apache Spark, Flink, and modern data formats.
  • Strong coding skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Kubernetes).
  • Experience in data modeling and schema evolution.
  • Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in relevant fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud billing data and cost management.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and real-time data pipelines.
