About the role:

As the Consumer Communications Lead for North America, you’ll be responsible for scaling Canva’s brand across one of our most important markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Driving proactive consumer storytelling through communications strategies and campaigns.
  • Building Canva’s consumer profile in market via strategic media relations.
  • Leading cultural and trend-driven moments in partnership with the Marketing team.
  • Developing strong media relationships across various platforms.
  • Creating news and data-led storytelling opportunities.
  • Leading local press events and brand activations.
  • Driving regional internal communications.
  • Supporting global communications initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 10-15+ years of experience at high-growth consumer brands.
  • Deep understanding of the media landscape.
  • Proven ability to secure positive press coverage.
  • Strong media relationships across various outlets.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders for media opportunities.
