This role is based in Melbourne, VIC, Australia, with a hybrid working model allowing for both remote and onsite collaboration.
What you'll do:
- Own the technical direction for the web platform, setting architecture standards for server-side rendering and React Server Components.
- Drive performance improvements to achieve sub-two-second first page load times.
- Influence frontend engineering practices across the organization, authoring design documents and migration guides.
- Remain hands-on with code, contributing to the development process.
- Define strategies for offline resilience and graceful product performance under varying network conditions.
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of React internals and performance at scale.
- Experience with server-side rendering and React Server Components in production.
- Strong individual contribution skills, with a focus on coding and prototyping.
- Ability to influence organizational decisions and collaborate across teams.
Tech stack:
React, TypeScript, server-side rendering techniques.
