Senior Data Scientist - Product, Features & Growth - Open to Remote across ANZ

This role is based in Melbourne, VIC, Australia with remote work options available.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with teams across Canva to influence strategic decisions through data.
• Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments that drive product and business outcomes.
• Build data models, dashboards, and tooling that help teams scale insights.
• Define and forecast key metrics to track progress and surface opportunities.
• Communicate findings clearly to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences.
• Uplift the broader data community through mentorship, best practices, and collaboration.

Requirements:

• Proven track record of using data to drive impact across products or business units.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale datasets.
• Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
• Experience with experimentation, event instrumentation, and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with tools like Python or R and a strong foundation in statistics or a STEM field.
• Understanding of key tech metrics like product funnels and growth accounting.
• Commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
