Engineering Manager, Cloud SQL

This role is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the team designing and developing GCP’s highly available, massively scalable PostgreSQL database.
• Define and build the blueprint for next-generation relational offerings.
• Empower customers with a fully managed platform that removes operational overhead.
• Anticipate market shifts and solve critical technical challenges.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8 years of experience in administering Postgres or other databases.
• 3 years of experience in people management.
• Experience in designing performance-intensive systems.
• Experience in building managed services in database or storage.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with complex database infrastructure design.
• Experience in system design for scalable infrastructure.
• Experience in coding with C++ or Go.
• Understanding of PostgreSQL architecture.
