Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack, Google Public Sector

This role is based in Boulder, CO or Reston, VA.

Compensation:

$174,000-$252,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of full-stack prototypes and production-ready applications for greenfield AI projects.
• Partner with GPS Sovereign Engineering and Google Distributed Cloud teams to architect AI-driven solutions.
• Drive architectural designs and ensure AI models and data pipelines are performant and secure.
• Advocate for best practices through rigorous code reviews.
• Bridge the gap between core ML research and practical mission applications.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with full stack development, including Java, Python, Golang, or C++.
• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
