Senior Software Engineering Manager, ML Fleet Systems

Compensation:
$248,000-$349,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the technical strategy for software systems managing Alphabet's ML fleet.
- Collaborate with engineering partners to deliver solutions across Google.
- Identify and solve challenges impacting the efficiency and reliability of the ML fleet.
- Drive improvements in metrics such as utilization and scheduling efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 8 years programming experience in C++, Java, Python, Kotlin, or Go.
- 5 years in a technical leadership role.
- 5 years in people management.
- 3 years in designing and troubleshooting distributed systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in a related field.
- Experience with Google storage systems and infrastructure optimization.
- Familiarity with ML hardware accelerators and resource management systems.
