Compensation:

$141,000-$202,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Drive design, implement and deliver critical user-visible features on Android for devices like Foldables, Tablets, and more.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, UX, application teams and external partners to build and improve system-level windowing framework functionality.
  • Design and implement new tools and APIs for developers in AndroidX (WindowManager Jetpack).
  • Work with hardware product teams to ship the next generation of Google and Android devices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience with Android application development.
  • 2 years of experience with Java and Kotlin.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Android System UI or Framework development.
  • Experience working on medium to large scale Android apps.
  • Experience in performance optimization.
  • Understanding of Android app design and life-cycle.
