Software Engineering Manager, AlloyDB, Database Internals

This role is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Responsibilities:

• Set and communicate team priorities that support the organization's goals.
• Develop the mid-term technical goal and roadmap for multiple teams.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback.
• Manage technical issues related to performance and scalability in a large-scale distributed database system.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with database internals and query optimization.
• Knowledge of RDBMS core functions.
