This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to deliver a high-performance, client experience for Google Cloud Storage.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define and execute the technical strategy for Storage.
  • Guide the team through complex architectural decisions and ensure standards for code quality.
  • Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of software engineers.
  • Demonstrate deep customer empathy.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development.
  • 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with storage technologies and managing a team that built and operated systems at scale.
  • Experience in partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience in driving a portfolio of concurrent engineering projects.
  • Ability to understand and guide work within a large, complex codebase.
