This role is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to deliver a high-performance, client experience for Google Cloud Storage.
- Partner with stakeholders to define and execute the technical strategy for Storage.
- Guide the team through complex architectural decisions and ensure standards for code quality.
- Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing team of software engineers.
- Demonstrate deep customer empathy.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development.
- 5 years of experience in testing and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with storage technologies and managing a team that built and operated systems at scale.
- Experience in partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience in driving a portfolio of concurrent engineering projects.
- Ability to understand and guide work within a large, complex codebase.
