This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA.
Compensation:
$197,000-$291,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
Responsibilities:
- Drive the goal and execution for Infrastructure Spanner Observability and AI charter.
- Manage Software Engineering Managers for Google-scale feature development.
- Collaborate closely with other Spanner teams and broader partner teams.
- Define future Spanner roadmaps with leadership.
- Participate in defining the future of Spanner Observability and AI journey.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of software development experience in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript.
- 3 years in a technical leadership role.
- 3 years building large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
- 2 years in a people management or team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in a related technical field.
- 3 years in a matrixed organization.
- Experience with Distributed Databases, AI Platform, and Distributed Storage.
