This role is based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Compensation:

$197,000-$291,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the goal and execution for Infrastructure Spanner Observability and AI charter.
  • Manage Software Engineering Managers for Google-scale feature development.
  • Collaborate closely with other Spanner teams and broader partner teams.
  • Define future Spanner roadmaps with leadership.
  • Participate in defining the future of Spanner Observability and AI journey.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of software development experience in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript.
  • 3 years in a technical leadership role.
  • 3 years building large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
  • 2 years in a people management or team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a related technical field.
  • 3 years in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience with Distributed Databases, AI Platform, and Distributed Storage.
