This role is based in Waterloo, ON, Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve customer issues and ensure product readiness during production deployments.
  • Triage technical escalations, including platform outages and executive concerns.
  • Develop an understanding of Google Cloud's technology by troubleshooting and diagnosing customer-reported issues.
  • Advocate for customer needs with internal teams to improve product performance.
  • Provide 24-hour customer support, including non-standard work hours as needed.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 6 years of experience in customer advocacy, troubleshooting, or software development.
  • Proficiency in Java, C, C++, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with distributed systems and web technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in crisis response and public cloud services.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and Linux/Unix systems.
