Detection & Response Security Engineer, Threat Intelligence

This role is remote, based in the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Track threat clusters posing threats to Meta’s infrastructure and employees, and identify, develop and implement countermeasures.
  • Investigate, mitigate, and forecast emerging technical trends with actionable suggestions.
  • Collaborate with incident responders to provide timely intelligence for ongoing investigations.
  • Improve tooling for threat cluster tracking and intelligence data integration.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects to enhance Meta’s security posture.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of threat intelligence experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Security.
  • Familiarity with campaign tracking techniques and threat modeling frameworks.
  • Experience with intelligence-driven hunting to identify potential risks.
  • Ability to work with a team across multiple locations/time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with incident responders on investigations.
  • Familiarity with malware analysis or network traffic analysis.
  • Experience in large-scale data analysis.
