This internship is based in Sunnyvale, CA and is designed for candidates pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Computer Science, or Artificial Intelligence.

Compensation:

$7,313/month to $12,134/month + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Review and summarize mechanical design common Display & Optics design rules.
  • Compile and organize materials properties and databases.
  • Design and build a custom CAD AI co-pilot module for mechanical engineers.
  • Integrate design rules and materials database into the AI co-pilot.
  • Work closely with the Meta NX team to align on requirements.
  • Present findings and progress to stakeholders throughout the internship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a PhD in a relevant field.
  • Experience in advanced AI/ML models and methodologies.
  • Foundation in mechanical engineering fundamentals and proficiency in product design.
  • Work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire.
  • Intent to return to degree program after the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working cross-functionally in a team environment.
  • Track record of significant results through grants, fellowships, or publications.
