Research Scientist Intern, Machine Learning, Character Animation (PhD)

This internship is based in Zurich, Switzerland and lasts between sixteen (16) to twenty-four (24) weeks.

Responsibilities:

  • Prototyping, building, and analysis of novel research ideas.
  • Design and execution of algorithms and/or conduct and analysis of experiments.
  • Collaboration with and support of other researchers across various disciplines.
  • Communication of research agenda, progress, and results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Graphics, Character Animation, Robotics, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related fields.
  • Understanding of machine learning, 3D geometry, optimization, and system building.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with technical character animation techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship.
  • 2+ years of experience in character animation, human motion synthesis, or related areas.
  • Proven track record of achieving results in top journals and conferences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross-group collaboration.
