Research Scientist Intern, Physics-based Simulation for Avatars and Robotics PhD

This internship is located in Zurich, Switzerland.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, design and develop novel algorithms for body, cloth and hair modeling, simulation and animation.
  • Prototyping, building and analysis of experimental systems.
  • Design and execution of algorithms.
  • Collaboration with and support of other researchers across various disciplines.
  • Communication of research agenda, progress and results.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Vision, Graphics, Machine Learning, Robotics, or related field.
  • Must obtain work authorization in Switzerland at the time of hire.
  • Experience with computer vision, 3D geometry, character animation, and/or linear algebra.
  • 2+ years of experience with C, C++, and/or Python.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intent to return to degree program after the internship.
  • 2+ years of experience in physics-based simulation, 3D geometry reconstruction, robotics, or deep learning.
  • Proven track record of achieving results in top journals and conferences.
