Research Scientist Intern, Physics-based Simulation, Mesh Processing for Avatars

This internship is located in Zurich, Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate, design and develop novel algorithms in areas such as full body, cloth and hair modeling, simulation and animation.
- Prototyping, building and analysis of experimental systems.
- Design and execution of algorithms.
- Collaboration with and support of other researchers across various disciplines.
- Communication of research agenda, progress and results.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in Computer Vision, Graphics, Machine Learning, Robotics, or related field.
- Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
- Experience with computer vision, 3D geometry, character animation and linear algebra.
- 2+ years of experience with C, C++, and/or Python.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship.
- 2+ years of experience with developing models for physics-based simulation, 3D geometry reconstruction, robotics, non-rigid deformation, shape representation, numerical optimization, deep learning.
- Proven track record of achieving results as demonstrated in accepted papers at top journals and conferences.
- Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
