Security Engineer - IR Threat Intelligence

Location: Bellevue, WA (with additional locations)

Compensation:

$154,000/year to $217,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Track threat clusters posing threats to Meta’s infrastructure and employees, and implement countermeasures.
• Investigate and forecast emerging technical trends, providing actionable suggestions.
• Collaborate with incident responders to enhance ongoing investigations.
• Improve tooling for threat tracking and intelligence data integration.
• Engage in cross-functional projects to enhance Meta’s security posture.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of threat intelligence experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Security.
• Familiarity with campaign tracking techniques and threat modeling frameworks.
• Experience in intelligence-driven hunting to identify potential risks.
• Ability to work with a team across multiple locations/time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience collaborating with incident responders on investigations.
• Familiarity with malware analysis or network traffic analysis.
• Experience writing production code for threat intelligence tooling.
