Thermal Engineer Intern

Compensation:

$6,688/month to $11,467/month + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Measure thermal performance of servers using proper tools and test plans.
  • Develop and publish test reports and communicate findings.
  • Analyze and simulate server cooling schemes and thermal technologies.
  • Execute tests according to plan while maintaining thorough records.
  • Provide input on fan control algorithm optimizations.
  • Engage with the hardware team to ensure proper component design.
  • Diagnose and root cause component failures.
  • Perform CFD analysis to solve thermal challenges.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or in progress).
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment and data acquisition systems.
  • Coding experience in Python, Matlab, or C/C++.
  • Experience in 3D CAD or CFD software.
