This role is based in Cambridge, United Kingdom.

Overview:

Microsoft Teams is reinventing communication and collaboration. The intern will work on developing agents that assist in meetings, utilizing Reinforcement Learning and other techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct experiments, create and validate metrics, and train models for proactive behavior in live meetings.
  • Collaborate with CMD Labs researchers and engineers to leverage existing assets and datasets.
  • Present results internally and prepare work for publication in leading AI conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program (or published MSc) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
  • Experience with training and fine-tuning LLMs using Reinforcement Learning.
  • Practical Python coding experience with frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Strong analytical, coding, communication, and collaboration skills.
