Overview:

As a Member of Technical Staff – Machine Learning, AI Safety, you will develop and implement cutting-edge safety methodologies and mitigations for products served to millions of users through Copilot. Responsibilities include evaluating large language models (LLMs), implementing safety orchestration methods, and training content classifiers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop novel mitigation strategies and evaluation frameworks for AI safety.
  • Build automated safety testing systems and maintain user-oriented safety perspectives.
  • Track advances in AI safety research and adapt safety algorithms for production systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with coding experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Experience with large language models and writing production-quality Python code.

This position will require working from a Microsoft office at least four days a week starting January 26, 2026.
