This internship is hosted in the Thermo-Mechanical Engineering team within Strategic Planning and Architecture (SPARC) at Microsoft.

Compensation:

USD $5,610 - $11,010 per month

Responsibilities:

Design, simulate, validate, and optimize cooling technologies for next-generation compute and AI workloads. Contribute to cold plate and retention mechanism design, assist with thermal interface material qualification, and support simulation projects using tools such as Ansys and MATLAB.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a MSc or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related STEM fields.
  • Proficient theoretical knowledge of heat transfer principles and materials science preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with CAD tools and thermal analysis software is a plus.
