This role is based in the USA with remote work options available.

Compensation:

$170,000 - $720,000/year

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the strategy for data production, management, and delivery for ML.
  • Architect and build distributed data systems using technologies like Spark, Flink, and Kafka.
  • Collaborate with ML Platform teams to ensure data quality and service-level guarantees.
  • Provide technical mentorship and shape architectural choices.

Requirements:

  • Deep expertise in ML data systems and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in JVM languages (e.g., Java, Scala) and SQL.
  • Experience building large-scale, low-latency pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills to translate ML needs into technical direction.

Tech stack:

Java, Scala, SQL, Spark, Flink, Kafka.
