Security Software Engineer (L5), Detection Engineering

This role is remote-based in the USA.

Compensation:

$190,000 - $920,000 per year

Responsibilities:

Enhance detection frameworks and platforms, create focused detections to minimize risks, and collaborate with various teams to analyze attack paths.

Requirements:

• Experience writing detections at scale using a detection-as-code approach
• Software engineering experience in a cloud-based environment, particularly with Python
• Familiarity with SQL/Hive and handling large data sets
• Knowledge of computer and network security concepts
• Experience in a continuous integration and continuous delivery environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on ambitious projects within a small team
• Experience with AWS and other IaaS providers is a plus
• Experience using GenAI technologies for security operations is a plus
• Java experience is a plus
