Software Engineer PhD Intern, Streaming Algorithms (Summer 2026)

This internship is based in Los Gatos, California, offering a personalized experience for interns.

Compensation:

$25/hour - $110/hour

Responsibilities:

Assist in enhancing the scalability of the Live streaming system and improve streaming quality of experience (QoE) on Netflix devices.

Requirements:

• Currently an early-stage PhD student
• Experience in network measurement, algorithms related to network performance, or encoding technology
• Ability to apply statistics and experimentation in research
• Experience with video is a plus

Duration:

40 hours per week for a 12-week period between May and September.
