Data Scientist, Safety Systems

This role is based in San Francisco or Seattle with relocation assistance offered.

Compensation:

$255K – $405K + Offers Equity

Responsibilities:

• Lead efforts in understanding and measuring the safety impacts of OpenAI’s products.
• Develop and implement statistical methods for safety metrics.
• Create dashboards and tools for safety-related inquiries.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a quantitative role.
• Proven leadership skills and expertise in defining metrics.
• Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in trust and safety, and familiarity with NLP or generative AI.
• Strong statistical background.
