Electrical Automation Engineering Manager, Manufacturing Test

This role is based in Palo Alto, California.

Compensation:

$168,000 - $312,000/year + cash and stock awards + benefits

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 6+ engineers in electrical and controls system design for automated test systems.
• Architect automated test equipment, preparing detailed multiline schematics in EPLAN and AutoCAD electrical.
• Develop PLC programs and HMIs from scratch in Siemens TIA Portal and Allen Bradley Rockwell Studio 5000.
• Analyze safety performance level requirements for high voltage, fully automated test systems.
• Develop PLC software standards for high volume test equipment.
• Mentor the team by providing technical guidance and feedback.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in people management.
• 5+ years of experience in project management.
• 7+ years of experience as an Electrical, Mechatronics, or Controls Engineer.
• Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
