Internship, Automation Controls Engineer, Cell Engineering (Spring 2026)

This internship is based in Markham, Ontario and is expected to last through the Spring term (January to May 2026) or into Summer 2026 if available.

What you'll do:

• Lay out new industrial electrical control panels compliant with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A standards.
• Develop and debug PLC code with a focus on organization and maintainability.
• Implement control reliable safety systems compliant with ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA.
• Generate aesthetically pleasing HMI screens.
• Manage small machine projects from start to finish.

What you'll bring:

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Coursework in analog and digital circuits, control systems, logic, and programming.
• Exposure to programming microcontrollers.
• Proficiency with CAD (AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks), Python.
