Internship, Controls & Software Automation Engineer, Cell Manufacturing (Summer 2026)

This internship is based in Austin, Texas and is expected to start around May 2026, continuing through the Summer term or into Fall 2026 if available.
What you'll do:
Support critical Cell Manufacturing development projects, develop structured and maintainable code, and interface equipment with Tesla production databases.
Responsibilities:
- Review vendor electrical controls designs and ensure compliance with Tesla standards.
- Collaborate with teams to validate PLC and HMI programs.
- Assist in maintaining and developing features for industrial vision processing software.
What you'll bring:
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechatronics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- Basic understanding of electrical control systems and software development.
- Experience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and web development frameworks.
