Internship, Embedded Systems Engineer, Vehicle & Robotics Testing (Summer 2026)

This internship is based in Palo Alto, California and is expected to start in May 2026, continuing through the summer term.

Compensation:

$20.00 - $55.00/hour + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Automated Test Equipment for functional testing of PCBA & Low Voltage modules.
  • Create production test specifications for electronic hardware.
  • Read, interpret, and diagnose schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuits.
  • Design and implement software to test units and communicate with test equipment.
  • Develop software drivers and frameworks to interface with PCBAs using various protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Support bring-up, validation, and development of new hardware and systems.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with software development, especially Python and Golang.
  • Familiarity with Linux distributions preferred.
  • Hands-on experience debugging electronics.
  • Understanding of protocols like JTAG, SWD, SPI, UART, CAN, LIN, I2C, Ethernet.
