Internship, Product Support Engineer, Service Engineering (Summer 2026)

This internship is based in Palo Alto, California and is expected to last from May 2026 through August/September 2026.

Compensation:

$34.08 - $47.71/hour + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze logs and repair data to determine root cause issues affecting vehicles.
  • Collaborate with development and quality teams on product improvement projects.
  • Test software and mechanical changes on engineering cars.
  • Support field technical teams with difficult diagnostic issues.
  • Update service manuals and documentation.
  • Develop service tools for efficient vehicle repairs.
  • Occasional travel for hands-on testing and data collection.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with graduation between August 2026 – December 2027.
  • Understanding of electro-mechanical systems and vehicle chassis systems.
  • Proficient in Python; knowledge of JavaScript and C/C++ is a plus.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with hands-on experience in automotive projects preferred.
