This internship is based in Palo Alto, California and is expected to start in May 2026, continuing through the summer term.

Compensation:

$38.00 - $53.00/hour + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct penetration tests against Tesla networks and services
  • Perform security assessments on third-party services and software
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop secure services
  • Audit source code for security vulnerabilities
  • Develop and implement automated systems to spot known security exposures

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or related field with graduation between 2026-2027
  • Experience with secure architecture design
  • Participation in Capture the Flag (CTF) events is ideal
  • Security experience in C, C++, PHP, Go, x86, ARM, CAN, cryptography, reverse engineering, wireless networks
  • Strong understanding of common web vulnerabilities
  • Strong penetration testing experience
  • Experience auditing code and features
